   • And what of governements who outlaw it?  Or those who would kill to be rid of it?  Don't they show more faith in its power as the Word of a living God than we do, we who "believe" in it?

     That is a profound and insightful question. My conscience was pricked while reading it. I'd never thought of it in that way before, but you're right. Their effort to ban it does show their fear/belief in its power.

   • It's true.  We take so much for granted, don't we?  Our passivity has cost us so much already, right here in our own country.  I'm shocked that we've allowed "them" to ban prayer in schools, try to take down the 10 commandments, want to remove "In God We Trust" from our money, etc.  When folks in other countries are dying just to read the Word of God, we're standing idly by while our own freedoms are snatched from our cold, unmoving fingers.  Hurray for those that put their lives on the line.  Shame on those of us not convicted enough just to open our mouths.

   • It is so true that we have forsaken our love of the Word of God in America because we have absolute access to it at any given time.  After going through a Get the Word Out! Intensive at the beginning of last year, I was convicted, rebuked, trained and corrected in my view and study (or lack thereof) of God's Word.  I now keep a Bible in my car so that I will never be without one when I need it and always bring it to church or any other gathering of Christians.  It's time for the Church to take ownership of our relationships with the Lord through His Word.  How can we have a true relationship with God without getting into His Word.  "The Word was with God and the Word was God."  If the Word is God, then we cannot fully know Him or be in relationship with Him without it!  Can you have a relationship with someone who never says anything to you?  The Bible is God's primary way of speaking to us.  I would encourage and exhort those who have not attended a Get the Word Out! Intensive to please go.  It will not only change your live, but it will also give you a relationship with the Lord that you never knew you were missing.
